LZ2 [3D Study]: Volcanic Strength & Shape

LZ2: A Visual Journey into Volcanic Strength and Shape
LZ2- Made in Blender & After Effect _ Facundo Kostelak
In "LZ2 (Lanzarote 2)", I endeavored to encapsulate the formidable strength and iconic silhouette of a volcano. With its triangular and ascending structure, this piece embodies the absorption and expansion of energy, invoking the grandeur and mystery of these natural giants.

This project transcends the literal representation of fire or the conventional use of intense red color. My intention was for the fire to act as an intrinsic signature of the artwork; its marks and power envelop the creation, giving it a cracked skin that prompts reflection. In my initial sketches, I flirted with the idea of using a lamp to symbolize fire. However, the most captivating aspect of volcanic fire for me is the fear it instills when it appears, often without warning. This exploration, though still evolving, has led me to a realization: the combination of volcanic lava and rock, along with an iconic dark, bluish-black color, has allowed me to craft a sort of vase. It is not meant to hold flowers but to be observed and respected.
Music_Directly inspired by the captivating landscapes of Lanzarote, Spain, and a journey that delved deep into its crevices, I've been compelled to enhance this piece with classical music that is both dark and profound. This auditory layer adds depth, echoing the island's mesmerizing allure and the profound impressions it leaves on the soul.
Cheers to your curiosity.
